Age & License
- All drivers must be at least 25 years of age
- A valid driver's license held for a minimum of 5 years is required
- International drivers must present a valid International Driving Permit (IDP) alongside their home country license
- The license must be in the renter's name and match the reservation
Insurance & Credit
- Proof of full-coverage personal auto insurance is required at pickup
- Your policy must include comprehensive and collision coverage with minimum liability limits of $300,000
- A major credit card (Visa, Mastercard, or Amex) in the primary driver's name is required — debit cards are not accepted
- Credit authorization is run at pickup; pre-paid or virtual cards are not accepted
Deposit Details
A security deposit is placed as a hold on your credit card at the time of vehicle pickup. The hold is released within 5–7 business days following the return of the vehicle, provided it is returned in the same condition and with a full tank of fuel.
The deposit is separate from your rental fee and does not count toward your total charge. Any assessed damage, cleaning fees, or fuel charges will be deducted from the deposit prior to release.
Booking & Confirmation
- Reservations are confirmed upon receipt of a 50% non-refundable deposit
- The remaining balance is due 72 hours prior to the scheduled pickup time
- Reservations made within 72 hours of pickup require full payment at time of booking
- A reservation confirmation will be sent to the email address provided at booking
Pricing & Fees
- All rates are quoted per day and are subject to change without prior notice
- Quoted rates do not include applicable state and local taxes
- A fuel surcharge applies if the vehicle is returned with less than a full tank
- Concierge delivery and pickup service is available at an additional fee based on location
Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations made 7 or more days before pickup receive a 50% refund of the total rental fee
- Cancellations made 4–6 days before pickup forfeit the full booking deposit
- Cancellations made within 72 hours of pickup are non-refundable
- No-shows are charged the full rental amount with no refund issued
Date Changes
- Date modifications are permitted at no charge with 7 or more days notice, subject to vehicle availability
- Changes requested within 72 hours of pickup are treated as a cancellation and rebooking
- Early returns are not eligible for a prorated refund unless approved in advance
- Extensions must be requested and confirmed before the original return time
Prohibited Use
- Track use, racing, or speed events of any kind are strictly prohibited
- Off-road, gravel, or unpaved road driving is not permitted
- Vehicles may not be used to push, tow, or propel any other vehicle or object
- Smoking of any substance inside the vehicle is prohibited; a $500 cleaning fee applies
- Transporting pets is not permitted without prior written approval
- Subletting or lending the vehicle to any unlisted driver is prohibited
Geographic Limits & Mileage
- Vehicles must remain within the state of Utah unless prior written approval is obtained
- Interstate travel is permitted; however, we must be notified at time of booking
- Daily mileage is capped as stated in your rental agreement; overage charges apply per mile beyond the allotment
- GPS tracking is active in all vehicles at all times for safety and recovery purposes
Fuel Policy
- All vehicles are delivered with a full tank of premium-grade fuel (91 octane or higher)
- Vehicles must be returned with a full tank; a fuel reimbursement fee of $15/gallon plus a $50 service fee applies if not
- Only premium unleaded gasoline meeting the vehicle manufacturer's specifications should be used
- Fueling with the incorrect grade may result in mechanical fees charged to the renter
Return Procedure
- Vehicles must be returned to the agreed location at the scheduled time
- Late returns are charged at 1.5× the daily rate for each hour or part thereof beyond the agreed time
- A walk-around inspection is conducted at both pickup and return in the presence of the renter
- The renter is responsible for ensuring the vehicle is returned clean and free of personal belongings
Damage Responsibility
The renter assumes full financial responsibility for all damage to the vehicle during the rental period, regardless of fault. This includes collision damage, theft, vandalism, interior damage, tire and wheel damage, and any damage resulting from improper use of the vehicle.
In the event of an accident, the renter must immediately contact law enforcement, obtain an official police report, and notify Toys2Rent within one hour of the incident. Failure to report may result in denial of any applicable insurance coverage and full liability being assumed by the renter.
Collision Damage
- All damage is assessed by our certified inspection team at the time of return
- Repair estimates are provided by our authorized repair partners within 48 hours
- Diminished value and loss of rental income during repair may be charged in addition to repair costs
- Renter's personal auto insurance is primary; Toys2Rent will coordinate directly with your insurer when applicable
Roadside & Breakdown
- Toys2Rent provides 24/7 roadside assistance for mechanical breakdowns not caused by renter negligence
- Towing, flat tire assistance, and lockout service are covered for covered mechanical failures
- Damage resulting from driver error — including running out of fuel, off-road use, or low-clearance impact — is the renter's responsibility
- Do not attempt to restart a vehicle displaying warning lights; contact us immediately
Agreement & Governing Law
By completing a reservation with Toys2Rent, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to all terms outlined in this Rental Policy and in your signed Rental Agreement. These policies are subject to change without prior notice; the version in effect at the time of your rental confirmation governs your agreement.
This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Utah. Any disputes arising from a rental shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Salt Lake County, Utah.
